TheraFuse High Flow Sprinkler Hypodermic Needle

The TheraFuse High Flow sprinkler needle is manufactured using photolithographic methods
commonly found in the electronics industry.  A polymer is spun onto a stainless steel substrate and patterned according to the specific needle parameters desired.  A room temperature etch removes unwanted polymer.  A standard Nuclepore™ membrane then adhered to the polymer.  The final step is to cut out the needles.   32G equivalent prototype needles have been made.

The TheraFuse High Flow Sprinkler Needle is ideal when faster injections are desired with maximum patient comfort such as with high viscosity medications or when high volumes of fluids are to be delivered.  Applications include unit dose disposable pre-filled syringes or pen needles for reusable pen delivery systems.
