    From inception, TheraFuse has been financially supported by venture capital investment from Ardesta LLC
    based in Ann Arbor, Michigan.  At the core of Ardesta's contribution is the investment of talent and capital in
    product-focused companies like TheraFuse.

Management Team

    Bruce Burgess
    Mr. Burgess serves as a member of the Board and as Interim C.E.O. of TheraFuse.  Over his 20 plus year
    career he has held roles as General Manager of Diamond Sensor System, which specialized in point-of-care
    diagnostic equipment; President and CEO of Hemocue, Inc, a point-of-care whole blood diagnostics company;
    and as President and CEO of Sensys Medical, a venture funded startup focused on a non-invasive glucose
    monitoring solution for home and clinical use.  In these positions, Bruce has had responsibility for employees
    numbering in the hundreds, revenues greater than $ 70 million per year, and sales growth in double digit
    percentages every year.

    Burt Sage
    Mr. Sage career as a technological innovator has culminated in his founding of TheraFuse, Inc. in 2001.  
    Previously, Burt was Executive Director of the Berkeley Sensors and Actuators Center, a National Science
    Foundation cooperative research center at the University of California, Berkeley where he successfully
    attracted industry partners to support and participate in activities of the teaching and learning Center.  Burt
    joined UC Berkeley after an 18 year career with Becton Dickinson where he led corporate initiatives in new
    drug delivery modalities, including microneedles and iontopheresis.  At BD, Burt spun out the Drug Delivery
    Division into Vyteris, Inc. which specializes in transdermal drug delivery. Mr. Sage holds 33 U.S. patents and
    has numerous publications to his credit.

    David Gillett
    Mr. Gillett has over 20 years experience in medical device development and manufacturing with a focus on
    high volume, low cost, complex electromechanical systems. As Manager of New Product Development with
    Siemens Ultrasound he was responsible for the development and introduction of the first portable Doppler
    ultrasound imager for peripheral vascular use.  At Polymer Technology International he built an operating
    company into a 24/7 production and customer service operation in less than one year.  As VP of Operations at
    LXN Corporation, Dave designed, built and operated a complete fulfillment organization that launched an
    entirely new test modality for people with diabetes.  Dave joined TheraFuse as an employee in early 2003 after
    spending one year as a consultant to the company.

    Mike Klimowicz
    Mr. Klimowicz has been in leadership roles developing drug delivery systems since 1984.  As Manager of New
    Product Development at Imed he created and launched the Imed Gemini PC-2 Infusion System, the first multi-
    channel drug delivery system in widespread use.  As Director of Product Development at IVAC, he is credited
    with launching a major upgrade configuration of the IVAC Signature Edition Infusion System.

    This was followed by development of the Alaris Medical System’s Medley Patient Safety System.  He left
    Alaris to become Vice President of Product Development at Aerogen, a Silicon Valley start-up.  He was
    responsible for Engineering, Product Development, Manufacturing, QA/RA, and Pharmaceutics while at
    Aerogen.  Mike joined TheraFuse in early 2003 and has responsibility for Product Development as the company
    continues development and application of its unique, next generation flow sensing technology.
